The Big Woof Festival policies

General Admission

  • Entry is valid only with a purchased ticket or authorized pass for the day purchased
  • Re-entry is permitted with a valid wristband or stamp
  • Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian

Dogs

  • No other pets allowed
  • The admittance of a dog requires registration via a free festival ticket 
  • All dogs must be accompanied by an adult
  • Dogs must be on a non-retractable leash no longer than 6 feet
  • Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times, including the cleanup of waste
  • Dogs showing aggressive behavior may be asked to leave the festival grounds with their owners
  • Dogs must be current on vaccinations
  • By bringing your dog, you represent that it's healthy and non-aggressive (tag on collar required)

Safety and Conduct

  • No outside alcohol, drugs, glass containers, or weapons of any kind permitted
  • No backpacks or items larger than a handbag
  • Food and beverages cannot be brought into the festival
  • No smoking or vaping permitted
  • Festival staff reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee (human or canine) for unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior
  • Attendees must follow all posted signs and staff instructions

Photography and Media

  • By entering the festival, you grant permission for your likeness, and that of your pet, to be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes without compensation 

Weather and Refunds

  • The festival is rain or shine
  • Tickets are non-refundable except in the event of Festival cancellation by organizers
  • Guests are encouraged to select Ticket Purchase Protection at time of purchase should they desire a weather-related ticket refund

Agreement

  • By entering, attendees acknowledge they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Admission
  • By participating in or attending this event, attendees agree to a global and general waiver of liability as outlined below

Waiver and Liability Information

As an attendee, I wish to participate in The Big Woof Festival (“Festival”), held at Regatta Park in Coconut Grove. In doing so, I agree to the following. 


1) My attendance at the Festival may result in personal injury to me and/or my dog, and the risk of injury from the activities involved in this Festival exists. By attending the Festival ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, that are incidental to or in any way arise from the Festival, including, without limitation, all risks and danger inherent in a canine-oriented event (e.g., dog bites, fights or altercations, falls, contact with spectators), EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE ATEENDEE or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; 2) I accept full responsibility for any actions of my dog and agree that the dog will be in my care and control during the entire Festival; 3) I understand and acknowledge that my dog must have a collar and non-retractable leash (no longer than six feet) and must be on hand by me, and that there is a one dog limit per attendee. 4) I hereby represent and confirm that my dog is not subject of a quarantine order, a pending adjudication or administrative hearing, and has never been declared dangerous, potentially dangerous or vicious or potentially vicious dog; 5) I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation, and to abide by all applicable governmental laws, ordinances, orders, directions, rules and regulation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself and/or my dog from the hazard and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; 6) I acknowledge that City of Miami/The Big Woof Festival organizer reserve the right to exclude or eject any unruly, rowdy or disruptive attendees and/or dogs from the Festival and/or from the property without liability and that I shall be fully responsible for any damages or expenses, direct or indirect, incurred as a result of my and/or dog’s disruptive behavior and /or ejection. I further agree that any Festival organizer official may authorize necessary treatment for me and/or the dog in the event of injury; 7) I further agree to assume liability for any medical costs incurred as a result of my participation at the event that are not covered by my insurance, including but not limited to costs of medical care and treatment, ambulance services, hospital stays, and physician treatment;8) I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD The Big Woof Festival organizers, volunteers, event planners, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“RELEASES”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law. I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY AGRING FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
