Organization

The What's Your Breed contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by The Big Woof Festival (“Organizer”). EpiPaws and Orivet are the sponsors of the Contest ("Sponsors") and are responsible for DNA/age testing and results. The event will take place on January 17-18, 2026, in Miami, FL ("Festival").

Eligibility

Open to legal residents of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, contractors, directors, and officers of Organizer, its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible. Contest is void where prohibited by law.

Contest Period

The Contest begins October 1, 2025, at 12:00 AM EST and ends October 10, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST (“Contest Period”). The Organizer’s computer is the official time-keeping device.

Entering the Contest
1. Entrant completes the official entry form at: https://thebigwooffest.com/whats-your-breed-contest

2. Entrant posts a photo of their dog on Instagram during the Contest Period, including the dog’s name and what breed(s) the entrant thinks make up their dog in the caption, and tag @TheBigWoofFest.
3. Both the entry form and Instagram post are required for a valid entry during the Contest Period.

4.  Limit: one (1) entry per person, per dog.

Selection of Prize Recipients 

Eligible entries will be judged and/or selected at random by the Organizer and Sponsors on or about October 12, 2025, with up to ten (10) winners ("Winners") selected. Winners will be notified via phone and email. Winners must respond within 48 hours with confirmation of attendance at the Festival and their shipping address. Failure to respond in time may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate Winner.

Winners will receive one (1) dog DNA/age test kit, shipped to the Winner’s address. Approximate retail value (“ARV”): $150. Winners must complete and return the DNA /age kit by October 20, 2026, to participate in the live reveal at the Festival.

Winners (or their designated proxy, if permitted by the Organizer) must be present at the Festival at the scheduled reveal date and time to claim their results. Reveal data and time will be provided to Winners in advance of the Festival. Travel, accommodations, and all other expenses are the responsibility of the Winners. Winners will be provided two credentials for Festival admission at no cost. 

Odds of Winning

Odds of being selected as a Winner depends on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

Conditions of Participation

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Organizer, which are final.  Winners must: (1) Consent to receiving and returning a DNA/age test kit; (2) Acknowledge that DNA/age test results are for informational purposes only and not medical advice; (3) Grant Organizer the right to use their name, Instagram handle, dog’s name, likeness, photo, and DNA/age results (limited to breed composition) for promotional purposes in connection with the Contest and Festival, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

The Winners agree that the Organizer shall be permitted to film, sound record, and photograph the Festival, which may include, without limitation, filming, sound recording, and photography featuring the Winner and/or the Winner's dog (“Content”). Winners acknowledge and agree that Organizer is the sole and exclusive owner of all rights in the Content and hereby waives all: (i) rights in and to such Content, and (ii) claims that entrant may have related to or arising from the Content or its use. Without limitation, Organizer shall be permitted to use the Content anywhere in the world for promotional and other purposes, without any payment or compensation.

Privacy

Information collected through the entry form will be used only for Contest administration. The Sponsors will process DNA/age data and such processing is subject to their privacy policy. 

Release and Limitations of Liability

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Organizer, Sponsors, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and each of their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or liability arising from participation in the Contest, including but not limited to claims relating to DNA/age testing, travel, or attendance at the Festival.
 

Organizer s not responsible for: (a) late, lost, stolen, illegible, incomplete, or misdirected entries or communications; (b) technical malfunctions of any kind; or (c) delays in DNA/age test processing beyond Organizer’s control.

General Conditions

Organizer reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical issues, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Contest. Organizer may disqualify any entrant or Winner who tampers with the entry process or violates these Official Rules.

Governing Law

The Contest is governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Organizer and entrants agree that any disputes in any way relating to, or arising out of the Contest shall be submitted to the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) for arbitration before a single arbitrator in accordance with the rules of AAA then in force and effect as the sole and exclusive remedy for resolving such disputes. The parties agree that the decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding and that a judgment may be entered on such arbitration award in any court of competent jurisdiction. The parties agree that any such arbitration shall take place in Miami, FL. The prevailing party in any such arbitration shall be entitled to recover its costs and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees, incurred in connection with such arbitration.
